On-Grid Solar System (Grid-Connected)
This is the most common and cost-effective system for homes with regular electricity supply.
How it works:
Solar panels generate electricity during the day and power your home. If you produce more than you use, the extra electricity goes to the grid. At night, or on cloudy days, you automatically use electricity from the grid.
Net Metering:
You get credit on your bill for the extra power you send to the grid. This reduces your electricity cost significantly.
Best for:
Homes in cities and towns with stable power supply
Example: If your monthly bill is ₹3,000, a 3kW on-grid system can reduce it to nearly ₹200–₹500, depending on usage and sunlight.
Off-Grid Solar System (Battery-Based)
This system works independently from the main electricity grid.
How it works:
Solar panels charge batteries during the day. The stored energy powers your home at night or during power cuts.
Includes:
Solar panels, inverter, and battery storage.
Best for:
Remote locations or areas with frequent power cuts.
